More information about Meri Wilson-Telephone Man 7" Vinyl Record Wall Clock

My first attempt at making a 7" 45 RPM vinyl record clock. It takes 1 AA battery [included] and can be hung up or displayed on a desk or table.
Meri Wilson - "Telephone Man" (1977). GRT, Cat. No. 127. Gold hour/minute hand and gold second hand. It has a white 45 record adapter in the middle.

I think this a outstanding way to repurpose/reuse used 45 RPM records and make them into something new and useable. About "Telephone Man" (1977):

Filled with suggestive lyrics and her breathy squealing voice, the song became a surprise hit single, climbing the UK Singles Chart to No. 6, spending 10 weeks in the listings, also it to No. 9 in Ireland and newly-released Zealand and No. 18 on the US Billboard sizzling 100 chart. It reached No. 42 in Australia, also a minor hit in Canada (No. 76).

It became a gold record, selling over one million copies in the U.S. alone.  On the success of the single, Meri quickly assembled her one and only album First Take.
Sadly, Meri Wilson died in an accident in GA. She was 53.
