The piece was made by Fenton Glass Company and is Hobnail milk glass, unmarked, as remarkably pieces prior to the 1970s carried stickers, many of which got peeled off. The medium-large size makes it ideal for a variety of uses such as candy, nuts, dried rosebuds, soaps, or trinkets.
