Handcarved female face/head by Brian Takano of Hawaii - Milo wood

A vintage ethereal female head by Brian Sunao Takano (1946-2021) handcarved of Milo wood as marked on the bottom. It is signed on front “by Brian of Hawaii” as can be seen in the photos. It is one of a kind and was carved by this self taught artist a native of Hawaii. It is about 6 1/2 inches tall by about 3 inches wide and weighs 12.2 ounces. It is in very good condition with a light patina of scratches across the surface all consistent with gentle care and use. impeccable for everyday use. first-class materials and excellent craftsmanship ensure long-lasting durability.
